  1. Just took a look at the new website and must must must commend Patty and all of you on a beautiful, inviting to navigate, site. Photography alone would be reason to hang around but you guys are keeping up the copy, too. Bravo! Well done.

    • A compliment from Andy Lynch—one of the best writers Local Flavor has EVER had—is a compliment indeed! (And Patty says hello!)

  2. Dear Local Flavor Magazine:

Please do a story on Nancy Iris who recently opened up The Chocolate Art Gallery on 4th Street of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Her story is a wonderful story reminiscent of the movie Chocolate. Her shop is quaint, warm, unique and a delicious experience for all the senses. Thank you for your consideration. Maggie Carter

  3. I hate to say this, but your website, at least for the mobile devices needs some serious help. I.e. regarding your bishops lodge giveaway page, there is no way to size the page correctly in order to see the full “capchka” therefore, no way to enter the contest. You don’t even have a “see full website” option so we can pull it up as a full size webpage. You may want to fix.

  4. This past weekend I had dinner at Seasons in Albuquerque.  I have eaten there many times and always had a great meal.  I had a Strawberry/Pomegranate dessert that blew me away, like no dessert in Albuquerque had ever done.  So I decided to do some investigating on there new pastry chef. (I had heard they recently hired a new one- or should I say an “older” one. The only information I could obtain was his name-Eric Moshier.  I thought wow great new young talent in ABQ.  After further investigating I found out he is new to ABQ but not young or new to amazing desserts.  He was food and Wine Best New Chefs 2000, owned successful restaraunts, and bakeries over the past 15 years and even cooked for Julia Child on many occasions!  He may not be in  the public eye now,as he was in the past (USA Today, Food and Wine, Bon Appetite, Boston Globe) I  uncovered, but I think that will soon change when people find out how amazing these creations are!  Thank you, Seasons for the new (old) talent.
Just wanted to pass this along in case you wanted to know about the unknown talent right here in our own backyard.  If you google “Chef Eric Moshier,”  I think you too will be shocked.

Also, much Thanks to You, Local Flavor for your great magazine!

My daughter and fiancée were featured in this months local flavor magazine on page 28. Can you send me a copy?

    Thank you

  7. I read your article about Kugelkultur gardening and I am starting my garden now. I like the idea of using old blankets in my pile and an wondering at what point it is best to add them and how many I can use. I have a lot of them. Would it be best lower in the pile or closer to the top? Thanks for any info you have. Ruth

  8. How do I unsubscribe from your physical mailer? I do not want to get your pysical magazine in my US mail.

  9. I lost my voice, so I cannot call. What is an e-mail or mailing address where I can ask your company to stop sending mail to my address? Thank you.

    • Hi,

This company that is sending you mail, they are not affiliated with Local Flavor magazine in any way. We are not able to remedy the situation because the mail you are receiving is not coming from us. They are Local Flavor, we are Local Flavor magazine. We can understand the confusion and of course would love to be able to help you but we have no control over this separate company. (If we did we’d probably ask them to use a different name!) But, if you google “Local Flavor direct mail” I believe you will find the correct company you are looking for, and you can contact them to stop the mailings. I don’t want to link to them because I don’t want to add any more perceived affiliation to them, but you should be able to find it with that google search I suggested. Good luck and best wishes!

  10. May I get a hard copy and where can I pick one at?

    • Hard copies are available around town in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos. For more specific locations, refer to our “find a copy” page or call our main office 988-7560

  12. Hi,
Kelly did an article in the May issue “Save Your Skin” in which Bair Medical Spa was featured. Can we get a copy of the article and cover (pdf?) so that we can frame it and hand it in our spa? We will be happy to pay for this and postage if you have to send a physical copy. Thank you.

  13. Thanks, The Buzz, for a mention of the Master Gardener’s 10th Annual Tomato Fiesta! Our attendance was up 1/3 and I think you played a part in that! So, Kelly, email me and I’ll get you that t-shirt you mentioned! Thanks so much.

  14. Every time I frequent my favorite restaurant, DaCosta in Yonkers NY, we cannot pull up the information needed to validate the vouchers I purchased for dinner – can you help?

    • Hi,

The direct mail company that is sending you vouchers, etc, they are not affiliated with Local Flavor magazine in any way. We are not able to remedy the situation because they are Local Flavor, but we are Local Flavor magazine. We can understand the confusion and of course would love to be able to help you but we have no control over this separate company. (If we did we’d probably ask them to use a different name!) But, if you google “Local Flavor direct mail” I believe you will find the correct company you are looking for, and you can contact them to address any trouble you are having with their products. I don’t want to link to them because I don’t want to add any more perceived affiliation to them, but you should be able to find it with that google search I suggested. Good luck and best wishes!

  15. How do I submit an art opening on your Art Buzz and calendar? Should I send an email directly to Kelly Koepke or your editor?
