The Southwest Bacon Fest returns with Bacon, Beer, and Blues. Fifty local restaurants, food trucks, bakeries, and gourmet food companies come out and serve up creative bacon dishes such as bacon pizza, bacon dogs, bacon wrapped plantains, bacon tacos, bacon cupcakes, bacon cookies….you get the idea. Twelve craft breweries serve up great local beer and three top blues bands take to the stage. A kids zone with bounce houses, bacon themed games, and a bacon eating contest complete the party. Easter Brunch at the Anasazi Restaurant Celebrate Easter at the Anasazi Restaurant with a decadent, Southwestern brunch inspired by the rich culinary traditions and fresh seasonal ingredients of Santa Fe. Expertly prepared by Executive Chef Edgar Beas, the refined yet delicious menu features eggs benedict smothered in chipotle hollandaise, lobster crepes made with trout roe, marscapone and corn as well as an ice cream churro sandwich covered in cinnamon sugar. SANTA FE, NM — A group of eight feminine artists, dancers, poets and performers have come together to “do something” about the current socio-political climate in this country by doing what they do best: their art. Robin Duda, Fe Fox, Elise Gent, Lianne Joy, Esmé Olivia, Amina Re, Rulan Tangen and Emmaly Wiederholt will present original performances of dance, music, poetry and art on Saturday, April 29th at 7:30pm at the Railyard Performance Center. In addition to artistically addressing their experience of the times, the group will donate the proceeds to the non-profits Girls Inc. and Honor the Earth. Proceeds will be divided between these two non-profits: GIRLS INC. OF SANTA FE strives to teach girls to set and achieve goals, boldly confront challenges, resist peer pressure, and see college as attainable. Their programming focuses on healthy living, academic enrichment and support, life skills and independence.
